Sky Room (3M-2Yrs)

Our babies all love our beautiful light, bright Sky Room which has been purposefully designed for babies 3 months to 2 years old. Our Sky babies enjoy the peaceful tranquility offered by the upstairs room. They are able to engage in different messy play every day, and our babies do love to get messy in the comfort of their safe environment. Sky also offers a well-equipped play room with a slide, mirrors, sand and water which enables children to explore and find their feet. This rich learning environment helps children to develop in the key prime areas of learning. Sky also has a dedicated sleep room which provides a cosy and quiet place for your baby to rest.

At Yew Tree Nursery & Pre-School, we believe that the early years are an amazing and wonderful time for growth and development in your child. They soon move from being totally dependent to being an independent little person. They start to explore control over their bodies and feelings and take on the happy feelings of competence. We use Tapestry to record and monitor your child’s progress in the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. This means you will receive daily updates and photos and videos of your child through the day showing the progress that they are making and the fun that they are having.

Our baby room gives children opportunities and encourages investigation of sights, sounds, touch to experience the world. Yew Tree Nursery staff encourage interaction and language through conversation, books, songs and sign language to develop those all important communication skills.

Each child at Yew Tree Nursery will have their own personal keyperson. Your child’s keyperson spends a lot of one to one cuddle time with them so that each sound and movement they make is met with a lot of care and attention that lets the child know that they are special.
